Heat from under the passenger seat
An Espar AS3-B2L gasoline air heater is installed under the passenger seat, according to the build record.
Installed by Dan Moore in Salt Lake City.
The installation record describes the heater, controller location, under-floor power routing, and warm-air outlet behind the seat base. It is one of the largest single climate-control investments in the build.
Because it is fuel-fired, the story is not finished at installation. The exact kit, fuel pickup, intake, exhaust, floor sealing, and commissioning remain inspection items, and the van needs working carbon-monoxide protection before the heater is relied on.
This is a record of the build, not an installation guide. Reported completion does not establish inspection, structural adequacy, or safety.

- $1,759.99
Recorded labor
- Heater installation labor with auxiliary tap
- $1,297.75
- Shared power charging heater-wiring shore-power and solar-wiring installation labor

Heater installation and the auxiliary tap form one labor bundle. The separate shared electrical bundle is shown here only for its heater power-supply scope; it also covers the power station, expansion battery, alternator charging, shore power, and solar wiring. Its per-system allocation is unknown.
A shared bundle is not an additional charge for every system. Where repeated across stories, it refers to the same recorded charge; do not add those repeated references together.
Recorded line amounts, not a current quote or a complete installation total. Discounts and tax remain unallocated; no grand total or per-system labor split is inferred.
